Mostar accommodation choices should follow both the planned visit and the actual arrival. Compare Old Town addresses with the terminal on your ticket, then check the entrance route and room format. Regional trips need a separate transport plan; a city stay does not establish access to every Herzegovina sight.

I’d choose Old Town immediacy when walking into the historic core is the main reason for the stay. If rail, coach or simpler vehicle access matters more, central Mostar toward the station is the more useful comparison before you look at individual properties.
A car-free overnight and a Herzegovina road-trip base can both be ‘central Mostar’, but they reward different sides of the city decision.

I’d choose the part of Mostar that makes your ordinary morning and evening easy, then compare properties inside that smaller search.
Arriva identifies its Mostar coach stop at Trg Ivana Krndelja, beside the railway station. Check the terminal on your own ticket: a coach arrival is not automatically the same point as a train arrival. The Old Bridge is a sightseeing anchor, not an arrival terminal.
| Your priority | Why compare it / what to confirm | Property details |
|---|---|---|
| Old Town hotel setting | Emen identifies Onešćukova 32 as Old Town. Confirm the luggage approach and drop-off; parking is not established in the retained facilities. | Hotel Emen |
| Kitchen in selected hotel rooms | Kapetanovina records a kitchen in some rooms. Select that room explicitly and confirm its equipment rather than assuming all rooms support cooking. | Hotel Kapetanovina |
| Apartment with kitchen and parking | Aldi records a kitchen, balcony and free private parking at N.H. Hasan Zahirović Laca 69A. Verify which unit and parking arrangement your booking includes. | Apartments Aldi |
| Lacina apartment address | Boutique Apartment at Lacina 21 records a kitchen and family rooms. The operator has more than one apartment; check the precise unit and sleeping layout. | Boutique Apartment Mostar |
| Pere Lažetića hostel address | Miran at number 13 records a shared kitchen and lockers. Compare your actual terminal-to-entrance route and room format before choosing it for arrival convenience. | Hostel Miran Mostar |
| Hotel with room and suite choices | Villa Fortuna lists several room/suite formats and parking at Rade Bitange 34. Its operator says breakfast is optional rather than included as standard. | Villa Fortuna |
Map distances do not establish a walking route, a step-free entrance or room availability. Each property profile includes its recorded facilities and specific booking questions.
Operator pages used for the room and arrival details above:
| Area | Why choose it / what to check | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Old Town and the bridge approaches | Best for walking straight into the historic core. Expect stone, steps and narrow approaches rather than door-to-door car convenience. If you are driving, favor a verified property that explicitly solves parking rather than choosing by straight-line distance to Stari Most alone. | Compare central no-car options |
| Central-city addresses and your arrival terminal | Compare an address near your actual arrival with an Old Town address. Rondo and the railway/coach station area are different map points; a central-city label does not establish the route or easier vehicle access. Check the terminal and final approach before booking. | Compare city map positions |
These Mostar stops separate the places that fit the same local outing from the ones that need a separate trip.

The Old Bridge is the clearest orientation point for Mostar’s stone-lane historic core and the river-level sightseeing circuit.

A historic landmark immediately north of the bridge area, useful for understanding how compact the central sightseeing zone really is.

Spanish Square gives you a useful second reference point in central Mostar beyond the Old Town and helps frame the walk toward the station side of the city.

Blagaj is a separate excursion south-east of central Mostar rather than a walkable extension of the Old Town.

Počitelj is a steep historic stone settlement south of Mostar that works best as part of a road-based Herzegovina day rather than a quick city add-on.

Kravica adds the major water-and-landscape stop to a Herzegovina road day and deserves more flexible time than a quick photo break.
Two stays can look equally convenient in a list but sit on very different roads or slopes. Explore their precise locations beside the main sights and local landmarks.

I’d re-check live schedules close to the trip, but these are the practical location choices worth making before you book.
Mostar Airport publishes a city shuttle tied to arriving flights, with stops that include Lučki Bridge, the bus/train station and central-city points. Re-check the airport page for the flights and stops operating on your date.
Arriva identifies its Mostar coach stop at Trg Ivana Krndelja, beside the railway station. Confirm the stop on your own coach ticket rather than assuming every operator uses it. Check the current ŽFBH notice and the final terminal-to-entrance route before committing to a car-free arrival.
Mostar Bus publishes city/suburban routes including services toward Blagaj and a Mostar–Međugorje line. Those routes can replace a car for specific day trips, but they do not form one high-frequency visitor loop around all Herzegovina sights.
Central parking is an active management issue rather than a safe assumption. The City of Mostar began rolling out smart-parking sensors on several central streets in 2026, reinforcing the value of checking a property's own parking arrangement before arrival.
